Aerials

We can source many different styles of aerials from many different manufacturers.

The perfect mobile CB aerial is 2.68mtrs long in the middle of the vehicle roof. Not practical unfortunately.

Any reduction in length is a reduced gain aerial usually done through loading or winding. An aerial for CB that is 300mm long will work but will not have the long range performance vs. a 1.5mtr aerial. For the best reception, make sure the aerial is clear of obstructions, has a good earthing bond to the vehicle and is tuned. A good ground plane of vehicle surrounding the aerial will also help. Bull bars are not the best place to put your AM CB aerial unless it is a ground plane independent type aerial. Click here to go to aerial page

 

Voltage converters

Some vehicles are 24v while your communication devices are 12V. We sell & recommend the Pacific Aerials series of 24-12 switchmode converters.

 

Extension speakers

Sometimes the cab is a bit noisy or your co-pilot moans about the radio blaring away on the dash. Extension speakers come in all sizes complete with 3.5mm plug to get you going quickly.

 

Radio Mounting Brackets

Most radios come with a mounting cradle. Sometimes it gets lost or you want to mount the radio into the dash with appropriate bracket.
